We had a lovely first evening, relaxing, as you can see in the smaller photos. However, the babies didn't fall asleep until almost midnight. The time stamp on the photo of Karl and the kids in the bed is 5:11 a.m. Rita woke up at 4:30 and the rest soon followed. For a change, the Henshaws were ready to leave for the hike to Running Eagle at 8:00 a.m. instead of 11!

Brendan's favorite part of KOA Kamping, the swimming pool.

Brendan and I took the babies to the Montana Vortex and house of Mystery a fascinating natural phenomenon that made Brendan thrilled and me dizzy and sick and the babies fall down a lot. Google "vortex" if you need to know the details of what a vortex is and does.

The vortex effects gravity and makes weird things happen. Brooms stand by themselves. Chains hang "straight" down, but crooked due to the effects of gravity, and 2-year olds fall a lot and their moms get nauseous!
This is the edge of the vortex. Brendan and this lady are standing on a level concrete platform. You can see the level they used to show us that it is indeed level. Notice the change in height when they switch ends. It is even more dramatic with the couple that was on the tour with us.
