Our friend, John, came over on Friday evening for dinner. After dinner Karl looked at me and said, "can John and I go out and play shed?" It struck me as funny, which he meant it to be, that he asked in the same way as a child asks to play "Legos" or "dress up". So that is our new phrase around here, Dad is out "playing shed."
We owe a tremendous thanks to our friends who have come over to "play shed" with Karl. Our neighbor Casey helped carry the walls from the garage to the site and now we owe him chiropractic care forever! Kent and Frank spent last Saturday here but I don't have pictures of them because I was sleeping (working nights, sleeping days) and Karl doesn't feel the photographic urge the way I do. John and Casey are pictured with Karl. Kevin spent the day here yesterday, and helped Karl break the back of the project. Karl could now finish it himself if he had to, but he doesn't because he has me (yes, I help too!). Thank God for friends!
The roof is almost complete, there is a little siding to be done, a door and some paint. Soon the garage will belong to the cars again, both of them!
