Apgar

Grandma, the kids and I spent an afternoon at Apgar in Glacier Park.  The kids wanted to swim.  Any time we are near water the kids want to swim.  The day was quite lovely, but that water never, ever gets above the 50's at this time of year.  It may reach the low 60's at it's peak, but I doubt it.  I have never had the desire to immerse myself in this lake, now matter how hot I've been.  Wade, maybe, swim, never.  But in they went. Brendan can now tolerate it for 20 minutes or so, but the twins were shaking uncontrollably after 10 minutes.  I have to force them to stay out of the water.

In order to keep them out, we went walking down the path and to the discovery center.  They explored the objects, talked to the docent and Brendan did a puppet show for them.  We love showing my mom the beauty of Montana in summer.  Hopefully it will sustain her when she's freezing her buns off this winter.
